London Fashion Week 2015

March 3rd, 2015

Fashionista was lucky enough to attend the Holly Fulton Autumn/Winter 2015 at London Fashion Week. Fulton put on a very luxurious and feminine show with a spectrum of regal purples, rich reds and emerald greens. The fabrics equally matched the expensive tones, as Fulton used bejewelled tops, lingerie cut dresses and fur accents. Fulton’s inspiration behind the collection was cult eighties television and the “louche eccentricity of Baba Beaton”.Catwalk It was evident that the collection was aimed at a glamorous It-Girl. Fulton’s famous graphic prints made an appearance on her opulent coats, but this collection hinted at a potential departure from the prints for which Fulton is most well known. The collection was clearly aimed at strong female characters, as it successfully married tough leather and tailoring with ladylike daisies and soft folds. We could certainly imagine Joan Collins wearing the encrusted pencil skirts and cashmere coats, or even Kate Moss enjoying the delicate slip dresses with lounge coats. For all the fashionistas out there, the clear takeaway influences were the show stopping coats, rich colour palettes and subtle opulent trimmings.catwalk 2

Of course, aside from the designer shows, the other joy of London Fashion week is the enthusiastic Street Style outfits of the attendees. London Fashion Week showcases just how much fun Londoners have with their clothes. Trainers were all the range, with Fashionista spotting a few on trend attendees wearing their white Adidas Original Superstars, as was fur, which made an appearance in a shade of colours. Londoners also favoured a rather icy colour palette, enjoying shades of white and blue, and accessorising their outfits with an array of hats.

Fashionista looks forward to enjoying September’s London Fashion Week.
